The Community Teaching Scholars Program is led by the Office of Consultation and Research in Medical Education (OCRME) and supported by OSCEP. The program aims to:

  • Increase community-based faculty involvement in statewide faculty development efforts.
  • Develop a cadre of community-based faculty members who can train preceptors in their region on clinical teaching and other education topics.
  • Support the Regional Medical Education Centers (RMECs) in meeting their needs for faculty or resident development of teaching skills.
